Just installed: K&N AirCharger ('03 V6)

After another long trip to Charlotte and back this is the info that I have come up with to compare to your non-K&N specs

If I average 75- I get 22.3 on my trip computer (about 20 on pen and paper)
If I average 70-I get 24.2 on my trip computer (about 22 on pen and paper)
If I average 65-I get 27.5 on my trip computer (about 25 in reality)
I am running both the aircharger and mobil one synthetic. So it is doing ok.
Can you tell how aerodynamic the 4 runner is, hehehe, like trying to push a house through the air I assume.

These were averaged over a run of about 40 miles each with each speed I was extra careful to keep it at that speed, but of course I slowed down and sped up sometimes to pass or get passed. I want the dual exhaust and if TRD comes out with a supercharger for the 6 I will be in line........

Thanks a lot for taking the time to observe the milage and post the data.

The supercharger is definitely big on my list, so I'm hoping that TRD will agree. As for the dual Borlas....they're sitting in my trunk waiting to get installed on Monday. I'm definitely interested to see how they'll help all around. I've read about some noticable HP gains from other members, though I'm skeptical. Still, the look and the sound will make them worth it I think.

I just got my installed last week.
I love the new sound my rig has, it has a nice performace engine sound. I cleaned up the engine and tried to polish out the
valve covers a little bit. I also took off the plastic engine cover,
I like it better without it on there.

Are you liking the K&N Aircharger? I've had one before on an old Tacoma which gave it the extra "juice" it needed. I have an 04 SR5 4r and am wanting to add the kit but have seen some negative information about it (allows dust beyond the filter, no power gains, etc.). Have you seen/felt any of this? Thanks.

does adding the air charger void the truck's warranty in any way? what do they do when you take it for scheduled maintenance and they try to replace your air filters? probably not touch it and hopefully not charge you for that service?

also, anyone know if this is legal in california where they have tougher emission/engine modification laws?
