hey all

Picked up an 01 SR5 Sport last night. 136k miles, dealer just did timing belt/water pump about 50 miles ago.

Special thanks to [MENTION=84346]BlackCat914[/MENTION] for offering his time and help in looking at it - our schedules didn't line up so I couldn't abuse his time, but maybe someday when something breaks.

ehh - i bought it because I wanted a reliable DD that was fun to drive/own and my dog would fit in.

It needs new tires soon, maybe a lift too.

haha, no problem dude! This recent stretch of unemployment I'm on has streched a bit longer than I've wanted, so I'm still available if you want to take care of anything on it. I have a nice cold garage to work in, with plenty of tools. Our dogs can have a play date.

I gotta say, though, that pinstripe down half the body would drive me insane -- I wonder if parts on that side were replaced or if it's *supposed* to be like that? Either way, my first mod would be removing the pinstripe(s).

:rofl: I don't know what that's all about - it's missing on the passenger door only on the drivers side, and the passenger/rear 3rd qtr panel on the other side.

It will be removed once it warms up.

Carfax was clean - not worried about it being anything malicious

Looks to be in great shape! TB and Water Pump done--- those are the first major maintenance issues that usually have to be addressed when someone buys a vehicle of this vintage! You got lucky there! Let the modding begin!

nothing big - maybe the tundra brakes at some point...maybe a lift (oem 1 in lift?)

mostly preventative maintenance stuff - lower ball joints...
