Just ordered ICON stage 2 w/ LRUCAs

Just ordered ICON stage 2 w/ LRUCAs. Should be here in a two weeks (b/c rears were on backorder). Now just need to go back and read these forums like 900 more times for tips on how to micromanage whoever installs it! Sorry for potentially worthless thread...but I am just too excited!

I just read that the Icon description of the Stage 2 and noticed that the extended travel coilovers require the use of their uniball UCA. The LR UCAs are sealed ball joint style UCAs. Did Metal Tech confirm that the LRs will work with the extended travel coilovers?

Yes I saw that on ICON's website, but was told by Metal Tech that it will work. I asked him to verify that it was indeed an extended travel CO, versus the regular one in the stage 1 setup, and he did confirm that as well. On MT's site for this setup, it says the same thing as the description on Icon's site, but MT seemingly replaced the name of the UCA in the description.

I sure would appreciate any feedback from those of you that know for sure! Duc? Harper? RiDE?

I also just read something in Harper's thread about Icon needing to make slightly different setup for the Limiteds, but the guy at MT said it doesn't matter as long as you are removing the XREAS. Is he saying that all three t4r models use the same setup??? And is he right?

Yep , I'm running extended travel ICON's with LR UCA's as are a bunch of us on here and the FJ forum.The LR Ball joint is oversize and gets more travel then the stock ball joint.

The same Icons fit on all three models. What you probably read in my build thread is they test fit the first Icons for a 5th Gen on a TE with KDSS and didn't need spacers.

I was the first one with them on a Limited and spacers were needed to be made for the 2 front supports so the sway bar doesn't hit the supports. SR5/Limited/TE's without KDSS need these spacers along with the sway bar relocate spacers.

They don't ship spacers AFAIK. When Ducmonsta was fixing the install job on my truck I asked him to grind the radiator supports to make the sway bar fit properly without lowering (i.e. introducing spacers to) the radiator supports. If you do put the spacers you won't lose much ground clearance, though.

I ordered the same "kit" from metal tech 4 weeks ago. For an extra $200 they swapped out the LR UCA's for Icon tubular UCA's. @ $1800 that's still an awesome deal. If you're still worried about it.
Side note: That was 4 weeks ago.... have been waiting on the rear shocks ever since. Every week metal tech would tell me Icon says they're shipping but a problem would arise at Icon and they wouldn't. I have a set Method double standard rims(and tires) waiting to be installed. So to fix the rims without a truck problem I did as any good American would do and threw money at the problem. The metal tech guys are gonna send me Radflo 2.5" rear shocks. So I hope your wait isn't that long. As almost all will attest to, the wait is a pain just short of torture.

Yup, I got an even lower price than that. They had a sale that I got to get in on. I am not too worried about timliness. But I really appreciate your letting me know that! Did you have to address the spacer issue I am worried about? See above...

Icon is aware and has made spacers for the supports on non KDSS 5th Gens. Call Jeremy at Icon tomorrow if Metal Tech doesn't know about them .

All they are is 4 big 1/4" thick washers to space the supports(mainly the drivers side one) away from the sway bar that was relocated down and forward so it doesn't rub on the coilover spring.
