Just ordered temp gauge...

Hopefully it will be here next week.

After much thinking and mulling, I decided not to go with the rear view mirror/compass/thermometer that so many other cars have.

This is what I ordered from eGauges.com - VDO, Auto Meter, Defi, Isspro, Cyberdyne and Classic Instruments Gauges

A024E061Y - Cyberdyne UltraGage Red: Outside Temperature Gauges - egauges.com

For mounting I ordered an A-pillar mounted single pod from the same source. Total cost was around $80 for the pod and the gauge.

I was considering getting a 2-pod A-pillar mount that I've seen other folks here use, and putting a trans temp gauge in the second pod. But for right now I don't have the time or $$ to mount the 2nd gauge and I don't want an empty pod on my pillar. I guess if I ever do order the other gauge I'll just get the 2 pod mount and sell my single pod mount here.

Once it gets here I'll post some pics.

Question: I've never wired in a gauge, but I assume that all I need to do is find an empty position on the fuse block? (At least I know how to find the fuse block since I had to pretty much dismantle the lower dash to find the turn signal flasher. :D)

I'll see if I can run the sender unit through the firewall or some other way get it to the front of the truck where I'll mount it out of the way. Sure is a lot easier since I replaced my factory bumper, though!
