Hey, its a DCT. I had an '06 E46 SMG before I got the new one.
I know its a fake scewp but I too like it! Throw some nice upscale LEDs in there!
GREAT car, last of the NA motors before they go turbo for the next one. Tell you the truth though, it is a little gutless in every day life. 295 ft-lbs at astronomical revs doesn't cut it for me so I went back to AMG and couldn't be happier (380 ft-lbs at 3000). Also, I had the 6 speed and it was actually a pretty poor tranny contrary to popular belief. I did the CDV-delete, short throw shifter and it still was sub-par with the throws and feel.

Yeah the torque isn't the greatest, but I love high revving engines and the M3 is a screamer!
That car is the perfect track weapon.
Here is what I replaced the M3 with. Point and squirt and 911s go backwards from the light!

Thanks. I will be back to an M3 when they come out with the Turbo ones. I would have bought the 1M if they offered it with a DCT! I am not getting a BMW stick shift again, so have to wait!
