You will like those. Hope you got the E loads. Cost a bit more but a better tire. Ride is great.

Hi, i know P is for passenger but is LT? And whats more is what's an XLT?

P=Passenger can come in different load ranges
-LL light load
-SL standard load (most common) usually 4-ply
-XL extra load
LT=Light Truck
-B 4-ply
-C 6-ply
-D 8-ply
-E 10-ply
-F 12-ply
The $155 is for the P(assenger) tire. The E load (10-ply is $227) at Discount Tire.

I went with the D-rated tire as I don't do any hardcore off-roading just fire roads etc...

Ok, so I still don't understand what that means
Im looking at this tire Ratings, reviews and specifications for Cooper Discoverer A/T3 tires
and it only comes in XLT, what does that mean for my everyday driving? More knobs? Less millage? etc..

XL is Extra Load, a rating of P Tires before you get into LT tires. Still considered a P tire but more load rating than SL or Standard Load, which is your everyday variety of P tires

What you linked has a mileage warranty, so it is a Passenger tire. Anything that will fit on 20 inch rims that is not over 36 inches is a mall crawler, anyway.Ok, so I still don't understand what that means

WonderBread are you sure your TerraG's are D rated LTs? The only ones I am finding on DTD in stock size are P265 standard load for $155 and LT265 E load 10-ply for $227. DTD claims the TerraG's come in D and E but I can't find the D's in stock size on the website. The reason I ask is because I am looking at them for our truck but the E's are too much (heavy) for my application. I would prefer C's (6-ply) but I don't think they make them. Either going with the P's in TerraG's or maybe a C in another tire.

Where are you getting terras in a D? For 155 they are passenger. Which are fine just keep them clear from any sharp rocks.

The XL increases the load (weight) that the tire can carry. XL is not available in my size or they would move up on my list. You get the benefits of an extra load tire (stiffness, durability) without stepping up to the full LT tires which are much heavier. It is a happy medium.

installed on monday, have a friend who works as at a local shop here charged me $70 to mount balance install and do a 4 wheel alignment. Sold my stock rubber with 5,500miles on them the next day on CL for $400 cash. Total paid for the tire swap came to $190! so far the nittos feel awesome with hardly any hum even on the highway. Truck feels SO much better all around. They are stock size p265/70/17 and I do have spidertrax 1.25 wheel spacers there is some rubbing but only in reverse. none in drive even at full lock. Going to do the liner mod tomorrow before it gets too hot out. I'll take some pics then. I love the look! and its a very noticeable difference in the way it feels. much better...

While not as noticeable as the stock tires, there is a noticeable difference in feel between 33 and 35 psi on mine.
As far as traction goes, I have been nothing but impressed. Bomb down an atlantic beach without airing down - check. Get lost on WV "county highways" in a monsoon-like thunderstorm and downpour - check. Kentucky clay after even more rain than was in WV - check, but that made A-TRAC go off, and you need to wash that stuff off before you hit the interstate. Everything else between Quebec and Florida has been a non-event.
