Just saw a shadow mica in person for the first time

Holy **** it looks so nice in person

It was a v6 06+ sport, I parked mine next to it (06 v8 Galatric grey sport)
And was amazed how much better the shadow looked under the light. I think it hides blemishes better too due to the high flake count in the paint.

So to all the shadow mica owners: u suck jk

YES...If I had bought my runner new I would have gotten shadow mica or maybe black. Unfortunately when buying used you can only be so picky.

I am 45 and have had many different color vehicles over the years. Although my last vehicle I had for 17 years.
I like this shadow mica runner of mine the best. I think this is the first metal flake color I have had though and does it for me.:thumb3:

My V6 SR5 indicated 415 miles for range at fill until recently for some reason I believe it now is around 395-400 after temps have dropped.

Does winter time 87 octane gas have less quality or something?

This is my first non-black vehicle as well, and I love shadow mica. I hope they bring this color back with the 5th gen at some point. It's amazing how the color changes in different light from almost black, to silver, to greenish sometimes. That's what I got from it too. I track my gas mileage every fill up (by hand not the display) and every year it drops during the winter by about 1 - 1.5 MPG though, possibly for reasons other than winter gas.

I'd gladly take 1-1.5 MPG less if my range was back up to 415 miles for a whole tank of gas.

What does your range display show on yours after a fill up? How many miles have you got on it?

It's a V8. It has every single option that comes with the purchase. I was able to get a killer deal because it has some hail damage on the driver side and roof.

I'll monitor the mileage though. Still on my first tank of gas and I'll have to go through a couple to get a feel for the average MPG.
