Just upgraded tires, do I need new struts/shocks?

Went from 265/65/17 street tires to 265/70/17 KO2 AT's @ 131k miles. Should I replace the struts/shocks now? I checked them and I don't see any leaking, there is slight oil residue but nothing bad. Ride seems ok..

I have to take it for a road trip next week.. I'm wondering if I should do the job before getting an alignment OR if I can get an alignment tomorrow then hopefully not have to get another alignment after the strut/shock job?

I would not if you plan to upgrade other suspension parts.

My process is new tires, 500 miles, rotate, 500 miles and then alignment check. Just what I've done on all vehicles all my life. I hate pulling and vibrations on a road / freeway vehicle.

Shoaks with 131k on them are way past their prime. You would be doing well to get the replaced.

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on the kyb struts/shocks, ~$300 shipped front and rear.. that's gonna be tough to beat with new front springs..does Rock Auto usually have black Friday deals on these things or should I just pull the trigger on them now?

Well do you plan on lifting it? If so just go the cheapest route and find some Bilstein 5100's. That would be your best bet. Check with Wheelers Offroad.

Wasn't planning on lifting it...its my daily driver / weekend hunting ride.
