Just what I hoped,,,2000 Highlander

Recently I was forced to looking for another vehicle for my wife and decided to try and find a great deal on a 4runner. I own a mildly modded 03' tundra and have found my way into the 4runner realm. I came a across a 00' 4runner sporst edition. After talking with the owner i started to realize that it was a highlander. W/i a couple hours I was trying to secure it but had to wait as I was 3rd in line and 8 hours away. I offered full price plus $100 and asked him to to budge on price. Thank goodness 2 hours later he called and 4 hours later it was sitting at my inlaws. 12:30 on mothers day I became the happy new owner of a 2000 Highlander with 134k in immaculate condition inside and good condition out.
I love this thing and it is going to take all of any spare time I have. I look forward to sharing and learning from this forum, some cool peeps and cool rigs for sure. Oh yea we are now selling her trail blazer and getting her a 4 runner because well this thing is just too fun and a great project. Matter a fact i am considering selling the tundy for some bank to put into it, man I'm allready sick.

That's what they called in, then in 2001 the highlander became a whole new vehicle on it's own. The ex highlander in 01 was later named Sports Edition. So 01/02 are the only sports edition years.
 
Very nice! And you live in the right part of the country for it, too.

There's something to be said about vehicles that come with documentation like the window sticker... it's often a sign that they have been loved and maintained. Some owners just chuck that stuff into the trash the day they bring it home.
 
Thanks everyone, no don't mind it was $5900. I actually thought I was going to flip it or give it to my wife and sell her trailblazer. That only lasted about 30 mins after driving it. Now we are keeping it and she is preferring to drive it over the 05' trailblazer. I didn't intend on having 3 vehicles but we are now a 3 truck family.

got it for a song I think I paid 5300$ with taxes for mine and its got 22k more miles about 5 months ago

Nice find and for that price it is a steal especially anywhere near or in Colorado. You could easily flip it for over $7k but then somebody else would have a nice 4Runner and nice 3rd gens aren't getting more common.
