Sorry if I miss your build but how did you fit those 315 (its kind of Hummer H2 wheel right?) Did you fit those tires with only a lift? how about the milages? Power loss?

No problem man.. 3" suspension lift with 2" body lift and some inner fender well trimming. People have achieved 35's with less height though, just takes a little more trimming. I believe those tires were pro comp extreme terrains. I didn't see that great of mileage to begin with but I have 4.88 gears so it's not as bad as it could be. 3.4 still had plenty of pep but steep road/highway inclines take a bit of effort. I probably saw 14 mpg out of it consistently with mix city/highway. All highway was around 17-18.

Very nice composurE!! What what the situation leading up? Were you climbing it 3 wheels and eventually backed off, did the ass slide in or what?? Locked in the front at the time, just curious?

Well, I wrote out something and it double posted so I deleted one of the posts and now they're both gone. WTF forum server?! Lets try this again

You can see that my front tires are turned to the driver side. They should have been pointed straight ahead. I was trying to avoid a tree in front of me that is just out of the picture frame but still had a little room to go straight. As I drove towards the left, my back passenger side tire slipped further down into that rut it's in and that's when the front left of the truck just whipped up. I only had my rear locker on at that point. I think that's one of the worse feelings when wheeling. When one corner of your front end just starts coming up and you don't know when or if it's going to stop. Luckily it did stop, the guys quickly grabbed and jumped on it, and I drove right out of it.

In other news...

My recently acquired new daily driver, Stella, has been giving me issues. I wont go into all the details but it ultimately lead to a blown head gasket. Really sucks!! Luckily I think I got a good deal on the car and it's really clean so putting money into it seems like an ok thing instead of just getting rid of it. And maybe also b/c I have connections everywhere so I'm getting good work done for good price

Plans for car: New head gasket, remilled head, new water pump, new timing belt, new fluids, new plugs, new wires, and maybe other odds and ends. You can see from the pictures that it was time for a break down. Car ought to be running really good after this. Fingers crossed. Here's some pics.

To lighten the mood a little bit I did manage to find a nice complete rack setup for Stella. These don't come around often (all major brands discontinued) and are really hard to find. Thule setup with extension, locks, keys, and fairing. For a steal!

Not much going on with the 4Runner at the moment. I got the window replaced quickly. A buddy of mine out of town had a spare window and my fiance just happened to be where it was. So she brought it back and I got it put in that next day. A lot cheaper than I expected, thank god. I still happened to put some nice dents in the truck. I'll take some pictures and post them later. Future plans (after I recoup from the car) will be to fix up both my rear spare hub assemblies so I have a fresh rear setup and no more leaky seals ruining everything.

Wow, was it really October since my last post on this thread?

I don't have much to report. My offroad hobby has kind of slowed down as of lately and will likely continue through this year. Going through some rather large life changes (got married and likely moving to CO after summer). As for the 4Runner, about 10k more miles and she'll hit 200k. She'll likely get a nice little tuneup then. I haven't done much to her lately. I bought some Blitzpro 6LZ bars (2 pair) during their black friday sale. I actually had time this past weekend to put them on lol. As some of you know my 42" bar got stolen over the holidays. So now she stays in the garage. Can't have anything nice, I swear! Well, cheers everyone. Maybe next time it wont take me 2 months to post

Still have Stella but it's been nothing but one thing after the other. She's sat a lot over the past few months b/c I haven't really had the time/funds to get her going. Everything with the blow hg and overheating has been resolved but it's having oil pressure problems and not running right. It's likely on the bottom end and I hope the crank isn't screwed. It's not really knocking so I think I might be able to get away with going in from underneath and seeing the condition of the rod bearings. This way the top end doesn't have to get torn all down again.

I love Stella. I've always been a Honda head though.

Well congrats to you as well! We haven't solidified a location. Maybe somewhere between Denver and CO Springs. Mainly b/c most job opportunities for me will be in the city and hers will be in CO Springs. There's a few of you guys on here I will definitely have to hit up when we move out that way.
