KDSS Limited?

During my fun "find the blown fuse" search the other night I noticed in the fuse box under the driver's steering wheel there was a 10A fuse for KDSS. So I'm wondering if X-REAS is a form of it or just a fancy name for a lesser version of it. I don't think that they would just put a fuse in there if there wasn't anything using it...because I doubt 4X2 vehicles have fuses for 4WD. I thought it was interesting.

No. First, :rtfm: and then google KDSS and X-REAS.

KDSS relaxes the anti-roll bars while offroad. XREAS crosslinks the shock absorbers. Two very different systems.

I just checked my fuse block too, and I also have a 10a fuse in place for KDSS. The big question is what purpose does it serve, to have a 10a fuse on a vehicle that is not equipped with the KDSS system? It would make a little more sense if it was labeled but empty, so they would only have to make one cover.

That's what makes me wonder if we, as limited owners, have some sort of hidden KDSS. Because why have a fuse if it's not used? I have a 4x4, but I don't think they would put 4wd fuses on a 2wd car. It's very interesting.

Limited's definitely don't have KDSS so I wonder what it is for?

so does anyone know what this fuse is for? I noticed it on my limited as well while looking for something to tap for some switches.

I heard if you replace it with a 20A fuse, it activates the KDSS that all Limiteds have pre-installed.

BTW- the Antman mod should be protected with no less than 30A unless you want to be changing out fuses half way thru your drive
