Does anyone know how to program a chipped key for the 06 GX470? I did a search and nothing came up. I did one for my 04 4Runner before so i don't know if there is a similar process such as inserting key open. close door, etc as posted on the 4th gen site.

I believe you would need equipment

Toyotas I believe can be done without a special tool. But with Lexus I believe you would need a special obd2 scanner to program the transponder in your key.

I was able to get a fob programmed using the same door open/close process as the 4th gen, but I haven't been able to get the immobilizer working yet so I might end up buying the cable and doing the techstream in 5 minutes process you can find on ih8mud

I have a 2018 TRD OR and I was not able to program it using open/close-door method. Using Techstream v14.1 with a Win7 did the job (v12 and v13 did not do the job).
