Kill Switch Wiring

I am going to take a stab at wiring a fuel pump kill switch. I am going with the fuel pump instead of the starter due to the starter kill being easy to bypass. I am deathly afraid of wiring and wanted to crowd source wiring suggestions. I have researched this on these forums but can't find a diagram for use with a relay and a switch and a lot of the instruction is kind of cryptic. I will make a write-up with images for the help as I am a believer that it's the location of the switch that should be secret and not the wiring method. Please don't rob me.

Does anyone have an easy way to identify a fuel pump wire close to the cabin? I am pretty sure I can locate the fuel pump and find the positive wire from there but if anyone has some beta on an easy spot to cut it I would appreciate it.

I have a wiring diagram I found on Google (someone from an F-150 forum-not trying to plagiarize the homeys) which I tried to edit but it is wrestling with me. In my case replace "Fan" with "Fuel Pump". I am planning to utilize the fuse-box and using an add-a-fuse. I know there are a few ways to skin this cat and I have seen some people wire ground kills. Is there any advantage either way? This is what I am going off of so far. Again, The fan here is the fuel pump and the fuses will be in the box utilizing add-a-fuse. I am open to and encouraging suggestions.

Did you ask about this in another thread?

I recall a thread by someone just the other day. Anyways a simple google search for "4runner kill switch" or "3rd Gen 4runner kill switch" will reveal that the fuel circuit cable runs along the drivers side front door frame. It is bound in a bundle of other wires.

I don't remember the wire code as I did mine in 2006.

When you figure it out why don't you post pictures for everyone.

I'd suggest you send kball a PM.

Thanks for the reply! I did do quite a bit of searching on the site for this and did see the kball thread. I didnt ask this the other day but apparently didnt search hsrd enkugh for the thread. I wanted to post up some photos to help folks out when I do it, though, as there's not really a writeup on the site I can find, and didnt want to be spreading around kballs secrets if he was kind enough to help me out.

Thanks for the help and I will post back with results!

They aren't my secrets...

I see it this way, if everyone knows where the wires are to splice into what would it matter to know where the "secret switch" is?? All you would have to do is cut and reconnect the wires and bypass the switch. So the difference is what? 30-60 seconds?? I will pm you. If you want to do a writeup that's up to you. I won't make it easy.
