What wheels did you have on the Cobra CCW's? That car looks familiar I have been on SVTP for a long time, still cruise the forum even though I don't have anything remotely fast any more...

those were True Forged wheels. my screen name was wrxguy02 and I bought it off a co-worker whos screen name was F8TLBITE if I remember correctly.
yeah it was quite popular ovet a SVTP for awhile. I still cruise all the forums still even though I don't have any of those cars anymore haha.

no rattling or vibration, the foam pads I have between the truck and mounts are compressed so that probably helps. gobi racks only rest in place also. as the same with Baja racks.

not sure what you are asking on the last question...

I was wondering if you had to put weight up front as well if you loaded up the rear so it didn't teeter-totter, but it sounds like it's compressed pretty tightly. I didn't know the Gobi and Baja racks were of similar design. I assumed they bolted into the top some how.

no it doesn't teeter at all its very ridged, the photo of me walking on it has the center support off the ground, when its bolted up you cant even get it to flex at all

whats going on!!! yeah I bought that guys whole CL ad haha. We almost bought a RZR but got the 4runner and a four wheeler instead, theres a group on FB that's called southeast fj cruisers, I ride with them, you should take that 4runner at least once.

I'd have a minor stroke at the first dent/ding/scrape.

The SxS's are awesome....its a cadillac on the trails, keeps the woman folk from complaining after 40+ miles. The cupholders don't hurt either!

been awhile since I've updated on here, been busy at work 6 days a weeks 12-14 hour days.


but heres what I've got done in the little time I've had off.

first i addressed the wind fairing rubbing the paint that everyone has a issue with.
i found this 3M door edge guard at O'Reillys for $12~




took the fairing off and found that dirt and leafs have been rubbing the crap out of my clear.

buffed all the scratches out and stuck it on. problem solved. on to the bigger mods...

its welded up, and sprayed with self etch and truck bed liner that i had left over from the rack. pretty clean job. only took about 3 hours. end goal is to be able to fit these monsters on it.

got a buddy parting out his fj steelies that I'm going to pick up on the cheap.


then just hauled my daughters old playsey to the dump, building her a new one in the fall.

Will do. We are planning to go sometime soon, gonna let it die down a little first. How were the trails? I know they worked on them this winter. Are they like a parking lot like last year this time or still a little difficult?

And by difficult I meant at least fun to drive on with some technical spots to have fun at. If I want to drive down a dirt road I'll go visit my parents haha.

we are thinking about going, but its calling for rain, well see. probably just drive down for the day. if it turns out to be nice well stay the night and ride the trails.

id like to get a group going this summer possibly to camp and ride the trails. ive got some FJ buddies that would probably come out too.
