I'd vote sell. Then simply swap over your grill and everything. You'll grow even more attached to the new one.

The problem is, I can sell mine without a grill and radio. I'd have to sell it to have the money to get another. The grill was nothing so I can make that again. Hopefully I can find a good deal and walk away with a 4WD.

did realize you parked behind me, I was somewhat drunk.. 4wd is worth wild, if you have a good 2wd drive truck you can always convert it.. if you have the skill...

I hope so too! It would be great to be able to get enough money this summer and buy a 4x4, park them next to each other and pillage my 4runner to make a dreamrunner.

I've had a great run with my 4runner, I hate to do this but I'm getting into some more serious wheeling. It's time for another 3rd gen with 4WD.
It is going to hurt so bad to sell this but I know the longer I keep it, the longer that I'll keep modding it and leaning towards a swap.
I find it the best way that I get a 4runner that I plan on keeping for a long time and modding to the max. Here is the link - Feeler: 1997 4Runner Limited

This is not the end of kolbydmc! My next build will be great!

looks like i'm one of the few 2wd left. Ill join the rest of the group after I graduate and settle down a bit. thats when the fun starts! good luck and congratz!

You're not alone my friend. I also have a 2wd. I recently took a good look at my priorities and decided not to sell it off and buy a 4wd as I had planned. I'll be keeping this one until next summer at the very least.

Until then I need to get some pics up and to start modding the one I have.

I'm going the Ironback method!(keeping what I have) So I'm keeping the donkey now and making the best of it. I realized that I'm already to far into it to sell it, I just can't do it. I am heavily considering a 4x4 swap(Please don't tell me how difficult it is and to just get another, I know this.) at a local shop who said they could do it with no problem. I need to check it in to it some but I'm in no hurry. So get ready for many mods this summer! For now I'm back into the 2WD circle, even though I never left!

Donkey's Down

Here is my new development, happened yesterday.
Doing 90% of repairs myself so any help and tips would be great.

Ahhhhh. That sucks man. Hard to judge from the pic, but it looks like the damage didn't reach your radiator, which would be good.

I'll post some more pics tomorrow, the damage did reach the radiator but doesn't seem to have done much damage. The temps seemed normal on the way home however
I did notice it sounding like a v8 or something at some take offs. Tearing it apart tomorrow, stay tuned...

As some of you know already, last Thursday I rear ended someone on the way home. It was heavy traffic and I went to change lanes, everyone in front slammed on their brakes. Boom.
SO anyway, later that day I found out that I was not fully covered. So instantly I searched for a donor. I found one luckily and set off to work. Here is the beginning of the rebuild.

The donor truck had 230,000 miles on it and was a 1996

I picked up some extra goodies like a "new" center console cover, alternator, and rear spoiler.
Complete list includes-
-A/C Condenser
-Both headlight assemblies
-Front grill
-Front bumper
-Center console cover
-Rear spoiler assembly
-Alternator

On to work

Eventually we got to the point where we knew some things needed to bend back into it's place. So we grabbed a good ol' ratchet strap and attached one in to my dad's 5th gen. After a few tries it was looking better.
