koltlt 97 sr5 build thread

It has been a while. Over a year. Nice big images say a lot! Gets the creative juices going too. Thanks.

Have the Savage bumpers been treating you well? Have them on the garage floor primed, and soon to be painted...

Been slacking with updates myself. I made the switch from Icons to Kings and I have nothing but good things to say about Kings.

Curious as to what straps you used to keep your drawers closed. I build a set earlier this summer and have yet to make a way to keep them closed.

They are from West Marine. Not exactly sure what they are called. But I’m sure you can find the same ones. They are like cooler straps.

Did you go with custom length for the rear ?

installed DuroBump stops along with Duro front diff bushings.

Had to find a spot to mount my shovel, so this works out really good.

Gf mom gave me these pretty cool bags that are durable and they fold into small ball.

This Saturday I'll be going to AOAA in PA, with some friends so I'll be sure to take some photos of that.

Good stuff kolelt. Has me thinking about such a ceiling net again... When packed with things like jackets, does it hang down a lot? At times I find myself leaning toward a removable loft-like shelf...

Yes it does sag down when there is stuff in it. Thus covering the rear window a little and obstructing the view in the rear view mirror. But it doesn’t bother me. I also have a rear view camera at a flip of a button. I have a pop up tent inside the ceiling net along with a Bluetooth portable speaker. I could share few photos of how it looks like if you’d like.

I like my 4runner to be set up and ready. Hop in and drive. Not worry about searching for stuff in the garage or whatever. I have few things that I keep in the garage, like a spare 4gal rotopax can, treds , table and other few things including my dometic fridge. Other then that. I daily drive my 4runner without any issues. And like I said. Hop in and just go.

Nice having the rear view camera. I have that option with the stereo I installed last year and plan to do the same...

I can appreciate the readiness state you explained. I desire the same, but most of which will be contained in the utility/camping trailer. If we decide on a whim to go camping or on a trip, simply connect and go. That's what I envision at least...

Enjoying the build.

Right on brotha. When I went to VA, I had a lot of stuff in random storage boxes. After I purchased the front runner boxes. Little expensive especially that you need to buy separate taller lids. I manage to squeeze everything in those two boxes. One for camping gear and another cooking/kitchen. So if I need my trunk. I just remove two boxes.

Take a look through my build thread you’ll see how I did my rear view camera.

And that I did (review your build thread).

My apologies if I missed it, but what are those and how or where did you mount them? As you might remember, I too have the same bumper, which should be getting installed soon...

Pretty excited. Went ahead and pulled the trigger on a 2016 Tundra Platinum with 46k miles certified. :)

Keeping it stock. Got a Trucks USA retractable aluminum bed cover and some window visors coming in.

For the 4runner i installed the rago panel. But only got one side. Because i cannot install the other side due to my amp.
