Bad A$$ rig! Nice work!!
I have to ask how you got such a low frame height with 5" of up travel. I know how big a D60 is. Im redoing my Courier with a 3.4/auto swap and I'm linking the front at the same time. The ford body is on an '83 Toyota chassis. At a 25in frame height I can only get 3.5 maybe 4in of up travel because the oil pan and front diff are in the same spot. And that's notching the pan (rear sump). I pushed the engine up and have to run a hood scope now. At that frame height, the frame and diff are fine, it's just the damn oil pan. Dry sump time! Lol

I did a few things to get that up travel. At trail tire pressure I sit at a 22" frame height with 6" of up travel on the front and rear. I still have a lot of tuning to do with the suspension but I need it broke in first.
-Moved the engine up 1".
-Chopped the frame.... A lot

Not having a steering links and a panhard allowed me to compress the axle even further. The other thing about is how the Dana 60 is shaped. It is kind of flat on the driver's side of the diff housing. That let me put the diff housing up next to the engine rather than into the oil pan. The axle tube literally sits in front of the sump at full compression.
There is an article coming out soon on Krawlzone.tv that will talk about it a bit more. Unless people are fabricators they tend to look past how I got it so low with that amount of compression stroke. No one else was doing it. I had to try and it came out awesome.

A couple life things going on right now. It seems we will be moving to San Diego this summer. So it looks like I'll be seeing some of you a little more often.
I also posted this in the Off Topic section but I decide to also post here because it's my build thread and I do what I want here.:bathbaby:
As some of you know, last year me and some friends started racing Ultra 4. When I wasn't building the 4Runner, I was busy playing Crew Chief for the team. This is why I haven't been as active here in the last few months. We had a fantastic first year with a 1st place win at NORCAL Rock Race (Round 2), 1st place at the FALLON 250, 1st place a Straddleline, WA and 1st place at the NITTO Nationals in Reno. We are racing again at KOH and we are looking for some help on EMC race day, February 4th. We have an okay amount of folks but we will likely need more. If you are at KOH this year and are interested in helping out please let me know! We could use some help in the pits and this is a chance to get involved and volunteer. Of course the 4Runner will be at the Hammers in support of Chirobody Racing....and to beat on.

The yellow buggy is the racecar, Bomber 1. Yes I had a head start on him. He also has an LS1 and 2,000 lbs less. But I can seat 4, have heat, and a windshield so blow me.

Went camping and wheeling with the club this weekend. I thought I'd share some photos. Overall the 4Runner is working great and I have relatively no problems with the exception that I am looking for more power. I have some ideas how to fix that but it won't happen for quite sometime.
