Alright. Here's a small update for anyone that likes fabrication.
I did some frame notching in preparations for the front axle. I knew the frame might hit on the link mounts and/or axle. So I went ahead and pushed it up 3 inches. It's 3/16" wall 3x2". I also had to make custom motor mounts. While making custom motor mounts I moved the engine up 1". Every inch the engine is moved up is an inch of up travel gained. I will also be notching the oil pan if it nets me another inch. Gotta get the up travel so this doesn't ride like ass.
Make fun of my paint job and I will make fun of your stock painted wheels.:50cal::50cal:
Gobs of clearance to the new motor mounts.
I also got the belly cross member going. I used some beefy stuff here. It's 1/4" wall 1.75" DOM and Chromo couplers. I got the T-case mount from TMR Customs out of CA. Great products. I will get to the transmission mount soon enough.
The would be transmission mounts. Also custom.
Plated the frame a little to keep it strong.
I have the rear figured out. I have link material. For now I am sticking with 1/4" x 2" DOM round tube. In the future I will likely go with chromoly but this will do for now. The numbers on the rear are looking really good. I am very excited to see how it handles.
I also prepped the rear of the frame to be clearance similarly to the front. This is so I can get the ORIs as wide as possible on the axle without jeopardizing the frame integrity.
I laugh now because I have built nearly as much of this frame a Toyota originally did. There is not 1 factory cross member left in this thing.
Lastly, a snorkel for you pavement pounders.
I have a metric shit ton of parts on order right now. Once they come in this should start moving pretty fast. ARBs, gears, PSC Full Hydro kit, and a ton of other stuff is on order. I am excited to wheel this thing again. It is going to be ridiculous. And I am tickled pink.
