Land cruiser shock also for the rear?

Hi,

Stupid question but if I switch my 3rd gen coil with the front of a land cruiser, do I need to change the rear suspension with the rear of the land cruiser as we'll right?

Yes front FZJ80/LX450 coils for the rear of 96-02 T4R and rear FZJ80 LX450 shocks for rear of 96-02 T4R

For 3rd gens, the front springs from a LC can be used to lift the rear of the 4Runner. For shocks, you can use the same rear shocks that are used for a LC.
You cannot use the rear coils for anything on a 4Runner. So in essence, you use the front coils but rear shocks.

Yep. I have landcruiser rear shocks on mine, they ride nice!

Yes I repainted them. They are OME. I only had 1 good boot so I just took it off. Got the shocks $20 from the junkyard off a 97 LX450.

I was going to paint it black, but the stickers would of made it ugly. Later when these shocks go dead, I'll be buying the OEM blacks.
