I wish I could figure that out. But my choice of music has been openly questioned before. When I got the ones of yours from the hood of the Whale that CB antenna spring was making a horrendous racket! Unless it's a front end bushing I just can't hear from inside. Uploading the best of those now.

Hmm come to think about things were awfully dry until I met up with you in Moab.

I'm sure it was that cb antennae, hence why I keep going back and forth on where I want to mount mine as I want to leave it on all the time.

These 4 were shot while following [MENTION=91899]Jhalko[/MENTION] to the top of Bull Canyon(?). I clipped them down to remove some stops, but the scenery speaks for itself anyway. I recommend playing these with the sound off.......

This is coming back down from Bull Canyon until the camera battery died. I put the GoPro on Jhalco's tailgate so I could get a shot of mine.

Speaking for myself I know I had a blast down there. Jhalko gets to visit Moab a lot more than I do. I would definitely like to go back and check out some of the more famous trails.

My GoPro has received a lot more use since I bought the 4Runner. But I am still learning how to edit the videos from it. And what I can upload is not near as high quality as what the camera does.

The crazy thing about those videos is that we literally found the only pocket of sun for at least 20 miles. It was even raining when we met up in town. Originally I had been hoping to run fins and things but with the clouds and rain I suggested something a little easier. It stopped raining as we got out of town and started about the time I pulled back into town. That night and the next day everything I ran saw decent rain and downpours at times. Amazing how hard an easy trail gets with that much rain...

Sorry I didn't see this sooner! Looks like you had an awesome trip - and a full itinerary! If you ever make it to MT again let me know. You covered a lot of the state in your travels but you passed right by some pretty cool areas that most folks don't know about the first time around.

Okay CJ. I promised you there is actually a Pikes Peak. It does exist. Here is proof.

I was coming back from Colorado Springs and snapped this for you from the highway. It's not the pictures from the top looking the other way you had hoped for that day, but hopefully it will dispel the rumor that Pikes Peak is a myth created by the Colorado Tourism Board to lure travelers to our fair state.

Ha, CJ, I was just thinking about Moab this weekend! I've had a long summer and I'm thinking I'll do a weekend in November when it gets cold and all the tourists leave. Right now focused on Overland expo east trip coming in Oct. I figure if all goes well I might cover about twelve states to and from NC!

Ha, appreciated, but that's quite a bit too far south! Right now I'm not sure if I'll take just a week or more and I already know it'll be just about getting there on the way out so no sightseeing until the return trip.

Wow, just found this thread, and read through the whole thing. Now it's 2 AM... I don't know how I missed it when it was happening. I actually found it searching for stuff on Asheville, Mt. Mitchell, and the Blue Ridge Parkway as I just moved to SC for a couple months and would like to do a little exploring here. I love what you did here, hopefully everything is going well for you again with a new job.

I'd love to do this one day as well. Reading through here reminded me of some of the smaller attractions I've seen as a child like the Royal gorge bridge, cripple creek and some of the bigger ones like Pikes peak from when I used to live in far west Texas. I really want to make a trip like this out west and hit the high points like you did. That's the main part of the contiguous united states I haven't been in, that and the far north east.

Oddly enough, I've never been to Louisiana either, only state south of Arizona to Pennsylvania I haven't been to, but if I find my way down there I wouldn't mind meeting up. I may even try and make it out to the Jamboree this year if I can. Didn't work out last year...

Any tips, tricks, suggestions, or pointers for someone looking to do something similar? I'd be trying to do as much camping either in a tent or in the 4Runner as I can to keep costs down.
