Last minute cruise, Colorado folks! June 23rd!

Just got to Colorado Springs last night! Stopping by Hefty fab to finally get my rear bumper. I've been talking to Oliver (mebe4running), we're going to do a scenic cruise through the Rampart Range Rd by Garden of the Gods. No heavy wheeling for me this weekend, it'll be a nice change to see some beautiful views, instead of green forests lol.

We're not exactly sure on the time right now, just wanted to see if we could get some fellow 5th gens along for the ride. Most likely around 2-3. I'm not to familiar of the area, so I'll wait til Oliver chimes in.

I might be able to meet you guys. Have some family obligations that "should" end mid afternoon. Will you be heading North up Rampart? There are plenty of trails in the area, but you have to pick and choose as many of them are overrun with dirtbikes. Supposed to be a cool 100 degrees tomorrow :surfer: Andrew if you are continuing North I suggest dinner at Bud's Bar in Sedalia, CO. Best burgers in the great USA!

Post your updates in this thread and I'll try to find you somewhere along the road.
 
Damn, just committed to working for a buddy tomorrow. Otherwise, I'd make the drive out. On a related topic, if any of y'all are out in the Western Colorado/Utah area and want to meet up, I'm game as long as I have some time off (which is not often, admittedly. But it does happen from time to time).

I will shot you an email of his response.... pretty disappointing, it leaves me down to one last person.... nothing like taking your truck apart, sending $20.00 of weight to CA to then be told "Its to hard" to make :ybrick:
 
Would love to join yall...but tomorrow is tight. I want to buy a new handgun, go to the HAM store in Aurora and since it's my 37th B-day we're having family bday dinner.

Though it would be funny to have the NY plated truck with you.

Yea we made a short run up through garden of the gods and got pretty high up Ramparts Range. It got real hot so we headed back down, as we got to the bottom, we saw a section that was just covered in smoke.

But yea, I had a blast, those switchbacks were a little nerve wracking, not used to any of that kind of driving in Missouri lol.

Andrew it was such a pleasure to meet you and your lovely girlfriend. I thought your truck was impressive on the forum but seeing it in person..... holy smokes, LOVE IT!! You deserve 4runner of the year! That smoke we saw started within the ten minutes we where there and look what it became..... "Westside residents need to be ready for evac" | fire, colorado, springs - WALDO CANYON FIRE - Colorado Springs Gazette, CO my thought's are with those brave men and women and the homes within its potential path. We have record breaking temperatures plus high winds, I fear a brutal summer is amongst us. It was a good thing we turned around.

Please keep in touch Andrew and safe travels back home. Here are a few images from today.
