Latest on Gobi Ladder

Sorry to bring-up a frequent topic here, but I couldn't find a concise answer in my searching.

What's the latest with the Gobi ladder? Does anyone know if they are now shipping modified plates for our trucks, or do we still have to hack the plates once we get them? Also, I saw that they were able to find some struts to increase lift once the ladder was installed. Has anyone identified a part number for these to shop around? Thanks in advance.

It is a thinner metal material and just as durable. Also, has allen screws on inner area to keep in place and flushed at top.

I have not had a chance to try my new plate but according to mebe4running, he has not had any rubbing or issues as previous. I will update in the next couple weeks once I get some free time to install. Paul has worked very diligently in getting this product right and am very confident that there will be no issues with this new plate.

Did you get the enhanced struts as well? Any issues?

Yes, gas springs came in this week, but no chance to install. Was planning on doing both at once. Will update shortly after assessment of install.(sorry, no part # found)
