LawnDart's Build Thread

After a few days of scrolling at work, I made it through your entire build thread. Could not have been better.

My favorite part is how you have updated pictures at the beginning with all the existing mods.. Then you get 1/3.. 1/2.. etc. the way through and I keep reading your comments that are like, "yeah, I don't want to go very hardcore, I'm about done after this," yet I still know the LT, Baja lights, etc. etc. are all still to come lol.

One of the best threads I have read over the years - only to be rivaled by some of the round the world motorcycle trip threads over on advrider.

From an outsider point of view: you sound like a normal person, and not at all like a cross between Kermit the Frog, Chewbacca, and Gilbert Gottfried.

Well, I'm finally getting to take the 4Runner to Baja next month.

That video was a great way to explore the truck. I am sure it only scratches the surface. Thanks for taking the time.

My wife and I just did a 3000 mile motorcycle trip through Baja this spring. All the way to Cabo and back. Hope to do an identical trip in the 4runner in the coming years, could not have been more enjoyable. If it's not on your list and you can make it work, Santispac Beach is probably the most beautiful beach camping in Baja.

Here's a video from the trip:

No white oakleys........disappointed :lmao:

Nice walk around and can't wait to hear about the Baja Trip

Hah, I wear oakley prescription glasses at least.

I'll do a write up but the experience will eventually air as a 1 hour special on ABC Sports.

Great Build...

Can you recommend a local Portland shop that can install a cbi rear bumper on my 2017 TRDPRO .?

Cheers

503 Motoring has been instrumental in helping me with some of the more complicated wiring projects. They do great work and know the CBI rear bumpers well by this point.

Loved the video.

Had to be a bit awkward though. Pozzis cameo made me laugh.

Love the rig, still waiting to buy you a beer next time you swing through Slc. Would love to go for a ride around the block just to see how it rides day to day.

Thanks, we didn't cover the beadlocks or the rear suspension. But it felt like we were running long while filming it.

It's amazing how despite it being 70 degrees, the windows being down, people are giving me epic amounts of shit because the dog was in a kennel. If anyone met me at Overland Expo they'd know Pozzi didn't leave my side, and I dote on that dog a ridiculous amount. Transporting a dog in a kennel is way safer than having them just hanging out in the cab somewhere. Oh well.

And I'll be probably crashing in SLC in July on the way to FJ Summit XI.

People are dumb.
