LCA bshings have me puzzled

okay so im went to replace my LCA bushings and im kind of at a loss. I searched for a thread on how to disassemble the actual bushing from the sleeve. I got them out of the LCA no problem but im not sure where to go from here? Anyone have a write up on how to chane the oe parts to the new poly bushings?

i saw that but it doesnt say how he got the outer washer off without a press? thats my main question.

where did u get the poly bushings at? I cant find them anywhere around here.....

put main part of it in a vise then use 2 pry bars or big screw drivers on it and use the main metal part edge under neath to pry up on it it will come off real easy me and my dad just did on mine but i dint take any pictures or make a write up. putting the washer back was a little bit harder due to having to use a hammer to get them back on. but take off is very easy.

look up the same ones for a tacoma and they are the same as ours. my poly bushings are great. did the same thing just a little while ago on my truck

Thanks that's what I was looking for...but I destroyed the washer getting it off :/ these are going back to summit and I ordered whitelines so I don't have to reuse the old parts. Thank you for the help tho.

why didn't you buy the OEM ones?

They last 150K miles easy. Seems like that would be the right choice for a replacement. There's no way an aftermarket part can be better than an OEM one that lasted 150K+.

You do realize poly bushings will last basically forever, right? I'm from IL, and at least here, forever is more than 150k miles.

What I've heard it's they last a long time sure but they squeak loudly. My point is that it's a part that doesn't really need improvement.

They do squeak, but that wasn't brought up in your original post I quoted.
