LE OEM Running Boards

Hello all! I have been reading a lot on the forum (unbelievable knowledge here) ever since I traded my 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport for my used 2016 T4R LE in MGM last December. I have always wanted a Runner and when I found one that was certified with only 16K I just had to pull the trigger! (wife’s permission of course). Haven’t completed any mods and honestly, I don’t really have any plans to do much..I really like it just the way it is with the exception of the annoying and unecessary front license plate holes. I plan to hopefully have them professionally repaired at some point. I also have one question and I have searched the forums and I am just looking for confirmation. My Runner has the OEM running boards with the black end caps and chrome strip. I kinda like the look of the OEM chrome ones that are tapered on the ends. If by chance I found those for sale/trade, I just need to ensure they came off a limited so the brackets would be the correct size/length...correct? Thanks again and I look forward to being a member of the club!

Ohhh; nice looking ride Jemplyr77! Are you saying that you'd prefer the Aftermarket running boards? I think the trucks are identical behind the front fenders; only the nose differs among the different trim levels (except for the added chrome on the Limited and SR5 Editions (only cosmetic exterior subtleties)!

...don't know about the factory mud-flaps being the same!

rig, cheers!

Pretty sure the limited and early SR5s have a different rocker cover it goes down lower. IF you want to use OEM running boards from a trail or TRD you'd need to remove the rocker and have a gap or get the rocker panel.

You will love the ride that Xreas sport suspension provides and the capability in winter(full time 4wd). Here’s my 2017.

Here’s another angle of the running boards on the Canadian Limited models (fixed/not retractable).

Yes, those are the ones I have too...mine came from Texas though. They are fine; however, I kinda like the look of the other chrome OEM versions a bit more. That’s why I was inquiring about the brackets if I decide to swap them out.
