LE or TE?

One is not better than the other. The question is which one is better for you. I wanted kdss and prefer the aethetic of the trail. I didn't want leather. Hence the the trail was the better choice for me.

KDSS unlocks the front say bar to help with wheel articulation offroad.

Both are great vehicles, I went with the LE because of the full time all wheel drive and locking center dif. Front and rear lockers can be added later (ARB)

The TE has crawl control and also an e-locker, the front and rear plastics offer a bit more ground clearance as well.

Actually KDSS is more of a comfort feature, you can always add sway disconnects.

IMHO the biggest tech difference between the two would be full time 4wd with torsen limited slip and locking center dif VS part time 4wd and e-locker.

Lockers, sway disconnects, front and rear bumpers can all be added or modded at a reasonable cost. A lot of the trail guys are changing their bumpers and roofracks to aftermarket products. If you plan on doing that then then its doesnt matter how much more aggressive the trail looks vs the LE since all that plastic will be gone (Aside from a hood scoop).

It comes down to your plans for the truck. Stock the trail is a bit more capable offroad but the LE would handle better on road, if your talking aftermarket then you are on a level playing field.
