leak

So i have 285/60/18 tires on my car and everything else is stock. when it rains I get water that comes through my carpet pad and up through the carpet. This happens in normal rain conditions it is dry where the front of the seat connects to the floor and where the floor board starts to curve up. Any ideas what entry point the water could be from? Do you think my tires are flicking water into somewhere it normally wouldnt because they are larger?

I highly doubt your wheels are causing it.

Possible clogged roof drain?

Wife's Legacy had this issue. The water started to collect in the blower motor enclosure for the climate control which eventually made its way into the passenger footwell. Between wet feet and a slightly audible buzz from water and electricity mixing, we knew there was something wrong.

I doubt it's your tires, there are members running the same or bigger without complaint. Have a look under the truck and at the firewall to ensure all rubber plugs/grommets/seals are in place and serviceable. Also just because its your floor thats wet doesn't mean that's where the leak is. It could be a leaking window/windshield seal that is running down along a pillar and collecting in the floor. Do you have a sunroof? Maybe the drain is blocked or disconnected causing it to just drain onto the floor.

AND as always, try the search function on this forum, I have heard of leaks before so maybe there's a common fix.

I think there is a rubber plug that's under the carpet in the exact location your referring to. You can access it from under the vehicle. That's what I would check first.

Auto external tightness is not good, in need of repair

so a month ago i sealed up those plugs and dried everything out and it came back. and the water came back!

pulled the cover off the A pillar and guess what i have a leak! Called the window company that did my windshield replacement and they fixed it.
