Leaking front end grease?

I was admiring my new set of coilovers when I looked in the well and there was what looked like grease sprayed all over? I can see it's coming from the cv boot I think it's called? I'd love to know if that's directly related to the lift and I should adjust something.. Need new clamps... Or need replacing all together... Please help and let me know

If you installed a lift. Most likely 99% sure that your CV boots ripped. Might be a very small rip that you can't see, because it's between the rubber. You'd be able to see it if you felt around it with your fingers. If the grease is kinda greenish odd looking color. Its probably CV. When a CV boot rips, and when you drive it fly's every where. !!! MESS!!!!

Only way tk fix it , is get new boots. You'd have to take the CV axle out and reboot it. Messy job !!! Now if you been driving around in water/mud/dirt, I'd get new CV with ALL PRO OFFROAD EXTENDED CV BOOTS, and go ahead and slap these new boots on the new CV axles. Or.... Get these extended boots and simply rebuilt your old CV axle.

normally the boots tear. think 15+ years on old rubber suddenly getting stretched 3 more inches. if you catch it quick enough you can reboot, find some extended travel boots, or if its been awhile just replace your cv axles :deadhorse:

I don't think it's torn.. On both sides of the car it looks like the grease or whatever it is, is just seeping out of the boot like the clamp got moved or isn't right enough idk... Hopefully the photo helps some

4runner was just so excited about the lift that he.....Jizzed in his pants

It looks kinda like you said, maybe wipe clean and throw a hose clamp on it and see if it stops leaking. cant hurt to try.
