leaking heater core?

I am getting occasional steam from just in front of the windshield on the passenger side. When I look in there, I think I am seeing drips coming from near what must be the AC condenser drain (right angle drain tube) but towards the driver enough that it hits the exhaust. Smells like coolant to me. I just replaced the coolant along with my timing belt job. I blew a little air through the heater core with a vacuum to clear it. Maybe this knocked some corrosion loose and it is now leaking?

Does this sound like the heater core? Bummer....

In case anyone would like to know what happened, I figured out that some coolant leaked down behind the foam that is attached to the back wall of the engine bay when I blew it out of the heater core. It must have puddled somewhere, and when I went for my first drive, it sloshed out by the AC condenser drain and made the awful smell of coolant on manifold. No actual problem, luckily.
