After reading all these posts I can't help but think the seals are inadequate. I used to work at a seal manufacturer in my teens and they had seals with springs added into the lip area to grip the shafts they sealed for long term duty. These seals certainly need such a design to hold up to normal and off-road use.
I sure hope mine hold out. They have been changed twice by the PO at the dealer and probably got put in wrong the first time - or the seals are just not working right. I'm at 186k with 60k in the current seals.
