Leasing 2014 TE

Has anyone on here leased their rig? I'm in a bit of a pickle I've got a quote for 458 including tax for a 2014TE 36Mo/12k miles. The MF is .0006 with a capitalized cost of 35400. The TE has kdss... I'm I socal where the deals aren't that great for the 4runner.

Residual value is around 22K. I'm thinking I could take advantage of the low residual value and use the equity as a DP for another 4runner down the road. Should the residual value be based MSRP or capitalized cost.


Am I missing something here, as I feel like this is a win win for me.


Buying is an option, but payments would be higher than i would like. Drive off is under 1000 for this deal.

You got a better quote than me. I was quoted on a 14 Trail with KDSS and cargo tray, $2500 down, 714 Fico, $452 per month including tax.

What was your TOTAL out of pocket? What dealership quoted you this?:thumb:

950ish. Don't have the paper with me right now. Still debating haha. I can't tell you where, I wouldn't want you to swoop from me

I'll bet the drive off cost will be a lot higher. They usually add tax and license. That could be over $3K additional.

12K miles may be a big restriction.

Buy it and keep it for a few years or more, it will still have good resale value and cost less than leasing.

I plan to keep my TE for 10 years+ so I'm not a fan of leasing.

Well i can only base my drive off from what they tell me. I wouldn't be paying tax as they tax the depreciation not the purchase price which is included in the monthly payment.

Thats exactly what I plan to do shortly... I will buy and hold for 10+ years.

I plan on trading the car in or buying it so miles aren't an issue for me

I am pretty sure if you dont buy the vehicle you will get dinged (usually about 25 cents per mile).
