Leather in a sport edition?

I have an 03 with leather.

:nono: that is not a factory leather on your pictures. No Sports came from factory with leather, I have yet to see one. Everything you guys show is installed here, in port of entry. My limited seats have Japanese leather and back of the front seats looks very different. Front seats have depression for knees, more stitches and map pocket is rather more sophisticated - made out of solid material and wraped in leather, it pulls out on some sort of rubber bands, just like on my old Audi A8. Heres how my factory leather looks

Another way to tell if your leather is factory or not is by gear shifter knob. On Limiteds it completely wraped in leather. I Love it!

You make a good point....These are the seller's interior shots...

The leather is definitely a aftermarket leather you can tell because the carpeting and the seat belts are the stone color and the leather is black. Ask the seller if he knows where it was done or the brand of the aftermarket leather.

I believe leather was a factory option on the 4th gen Sports from '03-'05. I think they discontinued that option on the Sports in '06.

The '03 to '05 Sport Editions came only with cloth seats, no leather option. If you see an '03 - '05 Sport with leather, it was either port installed, dealer installed, or installed by the owner afterwards.

That's true for all 4th Gen's. Leather was never offered as a factory option on the Sport (or SR5).

I have a Limited Sport Edition and it has the same seats. Look at the window sticker if they still have it.

A Limited Sport Edition?

The 4th gen 4Runner comes three ways:

SR5
Sport Edition
Limited

There are other variations (Trail, Urban Runner), but those are based off of one of the three trims mentioned above.

Keep in mind that we're not saying you couldn't get leather on a new Sport Edition through a dealer. The port of entry prints the window sticker, so you can even have leather on a window sticker for a Sport in some parts of the country if it was port-installed. Southeast Toyota often has aftermarket options available as port-installed options, and I believe Gulf States Toyota does as well. The fact remains that the factory only puts leather on the Limited trim level.

O my bad it is a Sport but with the L1 Leather upgrade for $1449.00. I thought it said limited on the emblems but thats the first thing I removed. On the invoice it says Distributor installed options from Gulf Sates Toyota Inc.
