Does anyone know if the leather seat skins from a 2015 TRD Pro 4runner will fit a 2014 SR5 4Runner? Looking for clarification as soon as I can....thanks in advance for the input.

Take Care,
Shawn

If I'm not mistaken, the seat covers on the TRD Pro 4Runners are identical to the Trail Premium... Not leather... But Toyota Softex with red stitching.

That being said, all the seat frames and cushioning should be identical, so the covers - cloth, leather or Softex - should interchange. I have a 2014 Trail Preimium and there weren't any changes from 2014 to 2015.

Yes, you're correct. These are the softex seats from a 2015 trd pro. Still think they will fit a 2014 sr5 and is it worth the upgrade?

For me the interior of the Trail and TRD Pro look the best of the 4Runners with black metallic trim, black Softex and the red stitching. I prefer the Softex to leather, but anything is better than cloth IMO. I'm not sure what the cost is for OEM Softex retrofit, but Katzkin makes some fantastic aftermarket with more options.

I had cloth in my 2014 TE and hated it, after a year I looked into factory leather and ended up going with Katzkin, $1100 installed for black with red stitching.

Ok, so I just got back from picking up the seat covers. They are in fact the softex (black with red stitching) from a TRD Pro. I have the complete front set and a back set minus the headrest covers, which I am not too concerned about. I paid $100 for everything and they were removed at 350 miles!!!!!

My question is how much should I expect to pay to have them installed? Or how hard are they to actually install? I have quite a bit of do it yourself experience, but not sure if I have the necessary tools for a job like this. Any input is appreciated.

I would definitely pay a professional for this job. Others on here have done it with the aftermarket kits but said it was a tedious job.

Well, I knew it must have been too good to be true. Story of my life......the TRD pro and trail rear seats are 60/40 split the opposite way of the sr5 with 3rd row, which I have. So the front covers will work but not the 2nd row.....so if anyone is looking for a compete (minus rear head rests) softex replacement interior, make an offer. I would prefer a local transaction in md/DC area. Otherwise I may just do the front seats.....

There have been threads in the past about seat cover installs with pics. A search should bring them up. I think most removed their seats in order to do a better job. There is also a thread about a guy that installed aftermarket seat heaters with pics and that (obviously) required removing the seats and taking them apart. Those might help.
