I know I know another LED thread, I've been on the search for months trying to tackle this mod but I can never seem to get the straight right answer. I have a 2002 Sr5 runner and I just replaced the dash bulbs and now i am trying to do the center console and shifter. I read off another thread that they were 74's and they def much smaller bulbs.. some help please!

Not sure if the bulbs change between my 96 2WD SR5 and your 02 SR5, but my shifter light was a #194 bulb. Got a pair on ebay for less than 10 bucks. (only uses one bulb though). I did the dome lights and map lights as well. Still need to do the center console/dash

I have an 01 and am pretty knowledagble about what you need due to having to switch them out a few times on my rig and helping another guy here with his 02. plus I have my original receipt and order info. what you need are:
3 #24s for the gauges some people here some how got #74s to work but I have no idea how. Use the 24 bulb
4 #74's for shifter, cig lighter, key ring, glove box.
2 neo wedge 3 mm for your ect button and defrost buttons
3 neo wedge 4 mm for HVAC knobs
Let me know if you need any help with other bulbs such as done light, map light etc. whatever bulb you want to change. Ive almost done a complete Led swap on my rig. Also if you want to get rid of that nasty green clock I have something for that too.
Check out my build thread below for some pics if you want to see if my cluster is the same as yours too.
Buy your bulbs from either VLEDs (good quality) or superbrightleds.com (more choices, (so so quality) and I don't know if things have changed but autolumination has even more choices and they are way cheap but you get what you pay for and you may be swapping them out again within 6 months due to burn outs.

Yeah I think I went off what you posted on another thread. I ordered 10 #24's and #74's just to be safe and when I went to do the center console neither bulbs fit in for the ac and all that.. and when I took apart the shifter to replace that bulb neither bulb fit either.. this bulb was bigger than both of those. Next time i take it apart which will be soon ill take pictures of the bulbs to show you.

thats really strange for the shifter, where did you buy your bulbs? post those pics and ill see if i can tell you what they are, but the #74 LED is a long and skinny bulb and should slide in the shifter light. it's a little loose but its as close as it gets and you can get it to stay in there with a little adjustment on the bulb springs.
the console (HVAC and buttons) aka heater AC knobs, again are most definitely not 74's or 24's. they are the neo wedge's i listed in my previous post. they are both a very small bulb that twist into the holes in the back.
of course if you have the digital climate control then that may be different and i have no clue.
