LED kits for 5th generation 4runner(Help needed)

Jhawk, updated with the info you provided.

Fialdj, I just put the LED in the middle of the area I was working on. The 3m tape is clinging onto the plastic surrounding and is also attached onto the glass connector. Seems to be sturdy for now, only time and bumps on the road will tell.
 
Also, when you do the vanity lights, be careful. You'll stab your thumb trying to pry the cover off! I pryed from the center (think rearview mirror) facing side. Don't remove the whole assembly like you did the dome light. The lense does pop out.
 
Any chance on sending the map lights back for the red ones? If so, I can do that and I'll wait for you to get in the reverse lights and you can ship them to me together.

We can certainly do that! I have more reverse lights coming so it should not be a problem either!


@Jmac10, like jhawk said, reverse the bulb and it should work! If that does not, look at the metal contacts on the LED bulb and make sure they are straight
 
Led Installation

I really like the result. All I need is reverse lights! Be careful pulling the side mirrors - apply even pressure. I managed to break one of the eight attachment points by pulling to fast on one direction. Went back together fine and is still very solid but... I broke it. Ahhh...:redbrick:
 
Finished the install this morning. Was hesitant to do the mirror lights but really glad I did.


TIPS FOR MIRRORS:

1. Take your time, make slow movements.
2. Turn mirror fully toward door
3. Put fingers in the outer side of mirror and start in the top corner and gently pull until you hear a click.
4. Pull bottom outer corner until hear click again.
5. Pull inner lower corner until you hear a click.
6. Now you are done.

Basically, the mirror is held by 3 snap in plastic pieces. If you gently pull and get each to give one at a time it isn't too bad a job. The LED lights make a world of difference coming from the mirrors.

Good luck to all on the install. I didn't take pics because I was too focused on not damaging my brand new rig:)
 
Thanks so LED! These are GREAT! (I just worry about the rear hatch lights falling due to little area for the sticky tape?) Thanks again, my wife thinks it is almost too BRIGHT?

Just installed mines today and I am very happy with the outcome. All I need now is the reverse light to make it complete. Please let me know when the reverse lights are ready. Thanks so_LED.
