LED kits for 5th generation 4runner(Help needed)

The product is ok, with some modifications it is great. The LED's themselves are great, however on the 3 that use 'spring type' connectors, the actual connectors were poor, the wires were simply pushed up against the contacts (and thus if you pull on them they loose contact0, not soldered as they should be (and what I did to fix them)
I was thinking the same thing. I received both the original/old manufacturer spring type adapters and the new one. I used the new vendor on my rear hatch lights and have found they might need soldering too if you jostle the rear hatch a bit. The old manufacturer was fine, snug connections. Maybe thats an improvement we can relay. It's a small touch but an important one. I have some old adapters from superled I soldered years ago that i'll throw in and compare.

I may have to do this mod also.

BTW, I received my Reverse Lights.

Yeah, it was actually a super easy fix, took like 5 minutes, so it didnt really affect me that greatly. For others who didnt have the tools or knowledge it might be a bigger problem.

The metal end caps are just pressure fit, so if you slip them off, you can solder the wires down near the tip, and they go back together seamlessly. Originally I thought the fault was in the black connecter, but a quick continuity test ruled that out. I noticed it while I was installing, thankfully, so didnt have to take everything apart again :)

I agree with the other stuff you said - hence I'm on the fence on this situation.

After 90 minutes(taking my time, reading through this forum, trying not to scrape parts of my car, etc.), the lights work as advertised. I can start a party in my car now, the brights are super bright compared to the stock lights. Wow!

Rear Hatch Lights

For those that installed the rear hatch lights, what did you stick the 3M tape too? The only thing in the fixture to stick them to is the spring loaded connection piece. Did you just stick the panels to that and just hope they don't come loose or move around? Thanks!

I stuck it to the spring loaded connection piece. I hope it does not fall off. Next remedy if they do fall off is Krazy glue.

If it ain't composed of 5050 diodes, then it is not worth putting in your truck! 5050 LED is a 3 chip diode, thus allowing an LED panel 3x brighter compared to the typical LED panel. All the LED's in this kit have 5050 LED diodes!

Alright, thanks to Jhawk, the 5th gen kit is now set! Price will be $70 shipped Conus, add $4.50 for the LP lights. Here is the kit in action:cowboy: There is a wait list but I will likely be ready to ship out 40 kits for the 5th gen 4runner this week(week of 11/14/11)

I just wedged mine in the lower bottom corner without using the adhesive. They have stayed in place so far (about a month).

How much for the puddle lights, license plate lights, rear hatch and the rear back up lights? Shipped to 94065?

It will be $40 for the puddle lights, rear hatch lights and license plate lights:)

PM sent. I want all the lights including the reverse lights.

Replied to your pm!

Also, I got jealous of you the 5th gen 4runner owners who have hatch lights so I did my own upgrade:)

Added two oem dome light assemblies to my rear hatch and added two 25LED dome light panels inside, should I try red?:)
