LED light bar in place of stock front turn signals

So I've been wanting to add some lights to my 1999 4runner and one thing I thought of was converting the corner parking lights to turn signals and then replacing the stock flashers with some small light bars to help out the fog lights.
The main reason for wanting to do this is to cut through fog, snow and rain better as well as light up trails better at night.

I've tried searching but haven't found anyone that has done that yet.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Also, if I just missed a thread over this, a link to the thread would be very helpful.

Somebody started a thread not long ago about putting some LED lights in the filler panel below the headlights, but I can't find it now.
