MORE trouble with Autolumination

So, I received the replacement items late last week from my first autolumination order that was incorrect.

I ordered some different items this time, as the ones in my first order weren't to my satisfaction (as well as some of them being incorrect).

The replacement items were not the parts I ordered!!! :mad:

I e-mailed them this morning, and they're supposed to be sending out the right items today.

Two screw-ups out of two orders has me wondering about this company...

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I've ordered so many damn bulbs from that company and they never once screwed up my order, I guess I'm just lucky! :bigok:

You could always try www.v-leds.com

I need to buy some load resistors to fix my ABS light problem from my LED tails, but I refuse to buy from autolumination now.

I was all set to bite the bullet and get 'em at Mouser.com, but found these at V-LEDs for about the same price, and they already have the wire leads and taps on them. Nice!

The creator of that thread has a 98 and he did a complete LED conversion on the inside, along with several other users from thread with a 98.

Here's what a 98 uses:
-3 #194 for the gauges
-2 #74 for the climate control
-1 #74 for the shifter
-1 #74 for the ignition key ring
-1 #74 for the ash tray
-1 Neo-wedge for the A/C
-2 Neo-wedge for the rear defroster

I've got a 1998 Limited 4Runner. I've read this thread and the one over at yotatech a bunch of times and I'm still confused.

The #74 lights are pretty straightforward to order. I'm still not sure how many I need but I'm gonna order 5 for now.

But the #194 aren't so clear to understand. Without taking my dash apart, can anyone tell me which ones specifically I need to do this? There's 10mm, 11mm, and so on... Maybe posting a picture of the ones I need would help? Ther'e's a million

Same problem with the neo-wedges... Do I need the Type A, B or C?

I'll order from wherever, I'm just so confused on which ones to specifically buy with all the measurements, etc.

Message pdyebrasil on Yotatech, the creator of that thread. He's got a 98 and has done the whole LED interior conversion.

Fo Sheezy: What type of 74s and 194s did you buy?
 
They probably sent you an authorization email with information on how to activate your account.

I used these 74's:

My 02 doesn't use any 194's on the inside but www.v-leds.com has many to choose from.

Can you post a how-to? Also I just bought an 07 and the window buttons are not illuminated. Is this normal?
 
hey guys, i know this thread has been here for a while, but i have a 96 4runner that I want to switch out all the oem green lighting (dash, temp controls, shifter, everything) with the bright white LED's... Does anybody have their old shopping list from their autolumination orders... All the pics on here make me envy your switchouts, so any help would be appreciated. Oh, and do you guys have guestimates or exact numbers on how much the bubls all cost?!?


P.S. Has anybody seen an HID converter kit for a 96 4runner?!? Or any good writeups on kits and installation...

tight, thanks for the info, do you know any good sites that have quality H4's?!? I was also curious, have you tried changing out those tag plate bulbs with LED replacements?!?
 
For my 96 I bought:

3 #194's which illuminate- (RPM, Speedometer, Fuel Guage, Engine temp)
The rest of the bulbs i bought were #74's
-1 for key ring
-1 for shifer
-1 for glove box
-1 for climate control

So for the 3 #194's and the 4 #74's it was around $45 shipped tmo y house.

I dont really have a write up. I just started unscrewing stuff and replaced the bulbs. It was very easy. Maybe 1-2 hrs to do the whole thing, never have taking the dash apart before.

Yes, I've replaced all of my incandescent bulbs with LED's, even the license tag bulbs, they are 194's. I get all my LED's from www.v-leds.com They even have HID kits.

hey fo sheezy, when you installed those LED tail lights on your older 4 runner, what transitors or flashers did you use for the installation?!? if any... Cuz I am going to order these lights soon, and need to make sure that I get all the right parts...

how do i change the bulb around the cig lighter? i have it out but it looks like the bulb dosent come outa the socket. also i changed my rear window switch and my defroster/ect lights and the window is brighter did auto illumination send me 2 diff bulbs or did i get the wrong size?(a,b,c)

Everyone I've talked to, including me, had to break the bulb to get it out. And then replace it with an LED. To make the LED fit, I had to use some tweezers to bwiden the socket.
