Check out my build thread (link below). How to install on the Xenon Depot HID as well as the Philips LED. Having driven 17 with stock halogens, and with the HID's, the HID's blow the stocks out of the water. It's a tricky road to light up, but the HID's will give you the best (legal) light output you can get! Let me know if you have any questions!

Yes my wife loves her hids. She can actually see on 17 now haha. Also for anyone wondering I checked for glare and there is none. However this is on a Scion tC, the 4runners are higher up so I'm not sure if that will affect anything but the hid conversion works well with my wife's projectors so I'm assuming the same would be true with my 4Runner. Also thanks for the link!

Headlights are aimed by the manufacturer to allow for no glare, even with the HID's (As long as you have stock projector housings). If you lift or change the rake of the vehicle, you'll need to re-aim your housings.
