LED replacement Lights

I cannot wait to change mine to LEDs, but I had a quick question, when you lock the doors does the LEDs dim like with regular lights or do they just shut off? thanks in advance
 
When you lock the doors or after you have had the doors closed for the 15 seconds (or however many seconds it is) they dim for 2-3 seconds then shut off. Same as the stocks.

When you change the 2 dome lights (middle ceiling and rear ceiling) you will have to be a little forceful when putting in the new bulb. All of the bulbs inside that are wedge style (map light, all 4 door lights, and even the outside license plate light) go in very easy, but for some reason the 2 dome lights are much harder to get in, the bulbs are always a little larger than the stock ones. So it may look like they aren't in correctly, but they will work fine.
 
Great, I am glad that it will still dim, I think it looks cool. Does anyone know how hard it is to remove the lights from the running boards on an 06 Limited? And by chance what type of bulbs it would require, my guess is the 194's but I haven't gotten them out yet.

yes, all except the 2 dome lights are 194's, dome lights are 3022. those 194s from the running board is easy to reach, you just twist and turn and you can pop them out like regular headlight socket.
 
Since I have a sport, I have the tube running boards. No lighting on them. But my guess is they will either unscrew, or just pop out with a flathead screwdriver like most of them do.

If I did have the running board lights I would make them blue to match my 4 door lights.

Josh I was wondering if you were going to post pictures of your doors with the blue LEDs, I have a blue 4runner and was thinking about blue LEDs too, but would really like to see how yours turned out. Eric I really like your lights too, I'm trying to decide between cool white and blue for the doors.
 
I sold my digital camera a long time ago and my iPhone doesn't take great pics at night. They look really good. What you could do is order whichever color you want more, and get 1 bulb of the other. If you like the other one better, just buy 3 more for it. They are only like 1.99 or 2.99 each so you can always give it a shot.
 
Yeah that is a good idea. I think I'm going to buy the cool white and one of the blue. I know what you mean about the iphone's camera, I love the phone but the camera is a joke.
 
The cool white look great for the rest of the interior lights though. But I just liked the blue for the doors. Looks cool at night when you open them.
 
I just took out the white led's that I put in my dome lights, and put in blue ones to match my door lights. I'm keeping the map lights white though, in case I need a bright light to see something. But all of the lights that come on when the doors open, are now blue. I did it during the day so I haven't seen it yet, i'll let you guys know how it looks, and possibly get some pictures.
 
LED turnsignal blinking fast?

I put all the interior LED lights in and all is well. I also purchased two of the 3 Highpower LED setups for the rear turn signals for the rear. I know that i need to either use another flasher unit or insert an inline resistor. But i was wondering if anyone knew if a local auto parts store would have the proper flasher unit?
 
LAW,,, i'm new to this and I have an 07 4 runner limited. Would you mind posting up or pm'ing me how many and all of the part numbers for just the white led's I need for all of the interior lights??? I dont want blue, just want the white LED look. I'd appreciate it so much

You don't need the part numbers. Go Here and you will find everything you need. Any of the 12 volt wedge bulbs will fit the lighting for the map lights (front lights that click on and off) and also all 4 door lights under the door handles. Use the 3022-WHP2 Festoon bulb on the bottom of page 2 to fit the 2 dome lights. (The 2 on the ceiling that come on when the door opens)

You will need 6 wedge bulbs and 2 of the Festoon to replace all of the stock bulbs. The license plate lights on the outside are 12V Wedge bulbs also, in case you want to replace those while you are at it. (you would need 2 more wedge bulbs for that)
