LED Tail light question

Has anyone switch there tail lights to something other than a OEM-style LED tail lights for 2006? I was sitting in traffic today behind a Tacoma and these look like they might fit.

they are totally different.

depo has the blacked out version. i was considering it, but ill wait for mines to go.

The conversion is pretty simple just unscrew and then screw them back in. The brake light plug connects to the LED circuit, If you go with LED light bulbs you will need to get a LED relay for the turn signals because they will mess with your system it will think you burnt out a light. Also if you dont go with the stock LED lights do not put LED bulbs in the brake harness it will mess with the brakes. Dont know why but my 4runner started to freak me out lost its power assist dealer didnt know what was wrong either so that why I went with the LED Housing better. No problems since them I got LEDs all around and they are much brighter then stock bulbs not as hot either. Last thing when you do get the relay the only thing that doesnt work anymore will be the lights flashing for the alarm they go on when you activate and deactivate but the when you press the button more than once they will not, still work when its set off though so its really no big deal just letting you know.

i thought there was something other than plug and play. glad i kept an eye on this. thanks.

I have these in the brake lights. I have been running them for a little over a year with no issues. They are slightly brighter then stock and react to the pedal faster. Next step will be to get full OEM 06+ housings.
