LED's for turn signal won't turn on :/

so i have a 1990 t4r v6 3.0 auto, so i was switching my turn signal light bulbs to leds but when i swap them the leds wont turn on at all, any one has any idea why?

More than likely the Led's dont have enough resistance to activate the turn signal flasher.

Try using the emergency flasher, they should come on then.

There are 2 ways to fix this.

1. get a electronic turn signal flasher for led's

2. You have to put resistors inline at the bulbs. This way the flasher thinks your old bulbs are being used.

well i already have the flasher, it just got here today, just need to find time to put it in hopefully it will work,, the flasher should be located by steering wheel right?

so i just changed the flasher, and added the LED bulb and nothing, wont turn on, so now idk wat to do to get it to work, do u know? or does any one know?

first thing is to reverse polarity

Alright first. Did the lights work with the stock bulbs?

Do any lights work with the hazard lights on?

What brand and type LED bulbs do you have?

and how do i do that? just flip the bulb around? cuz thats wat i did too n nothing

lights work with stock, change the flasher the stock lights still work, the stock lights work in hazard but not the LED's also in just the turn signal they dont work, to tell you the truth dont know the brand of the LED's but they are 1126 type bulb

well its the bulbs you are trying to use.

both flashers, turn signal switch and hazard switch work. Wiring is good since everything works with your stock bulbs. Sounds like these LED bulbs are garbage.

Check the bulbs with some test leads at the battery.
