Left mirror fun house effect

Hello all-

Just purchased my 4Runner and noticed that when I look at my left mirror, I get this slight fun house effect, it kind of does a number on my eyes. It seems as though it is an after market
mirror.
Can someone tell me where I can find a stock mirror. The right one is fine.

it might be stock. i noticed that same thing when i first bought mine, the mirror just seems like it "shifts" things a bit. it was the same way with my friends tundra. maybe its just a toyota thing i dont know.

The right one that is fine has the typed "Objects appear in the mirror ect..."

The fun house--eye straining left mirror has no typing on it which leads me to believe that it is aftermarket.

usually it only says that on the right mirror anyway. my civic was that way, and so is my toy. who knows, maybe it is. kinda off that mine is the same way though

Noticed the same thing on mine! The stock left mirror should say "Objects in mirror appear wider than normal"

It may have to do with the water resistant coating on the side windows in the '05 runners? Sometimes when I look out either window at the mirrors I get a woosy feeling. Could it have something to do with this coating?
