It's hard to fathom it all. I too was in high school at the time. I haven't really "connected" with this event until this year where I read a little more, watched a little more, and listened a little more.
I can't imagine the pain of the families that know their loved ones made a decision to go in those buildings knowing they might not come out.
The anguish of those on the planes... We seem to have more info about Flght 93. Those last words to families, a likely suicide mission to end a suicide mission, and those courageous words, "Let's roll!" It gives me chills.
I uncovered other stories such as Brian Clark and Stanley Praimnath, which was a story of fate/chance. How lucky they were.
I also read about those who jumped and ended their lives on their own terms. It sickens me to think they had to make such a decision.
Would it give them (the victims) and their families any comfort to know that we at least think of them in general terms?
Hopefully it never happens again.
