This cover is a Bully 007A re-wired so the stop light function is on when the tail lights are on. Makes for a better warning to followers than just tail lights in reduced visibility like fog, rain, snow, smoke, etc. Sort of like the rear fog light required in Europe.

I've only had my 2018 4runner for less than a week. Within the first two days, my Toyota hitch plug got stolen. Thanks California!

I've been rocking the hitch safe. Leave my valet key in it 24/7. Perfect for hiking or if someone needs to get in my car and I'm not around.

How do you like this? I've been thinking of getting one for mine for the same reasons, but was afraid it was a little gimicky. Would love to hear your thoughts on it,

Would seriously love to buy a few of these to give out as gifts. The simple cap it comes with is solid and low key (I don't think anyone realizes theres a hitch-safe behind it..). I have been using it for over a year now and no real complaints.. The locking mechanism and everything has withstood rain, snow, muddy submersions on the trail, etc.. My buddy lost the cap once grinding it along some steep trail grades, ($15-20 single part replacement on amazon..) I've since learned to pop the cap off before doing anything that will drag the hitch through the dirt.. but that's a small price to pay for how often it comes in handy.
