That's what I thought. I tried putting low profile 6.5" speakers in the rear doors. They won't fit without cutting metal.

Hey where can i buy that insulation panels? And how much is cost? Can you notice the differents on how quiet it yet. Thanks

No pics unfortunately, but I currently have:
-Kenwood KDC-BT362U Stereo (Bluetooth, AUX, USB, CD)
-JBL GT7-6 6-3/4" speakers in Front doors
-Kicker 40CS54 5-1/4" speakers in Rear doors
-Infinity 12" sub in the back (not sure of the exact model)
-Stock tweeters up front
I'm very satisfied with this sound system. It does everything I want it to and sounds amazing. Extremely clear sounding with great treble, excellent mid range, and great bass. I often go for a drive in my 4R just to bump some music
PS: Crutchfield is awesome

I've just always had great customer service from Crutchfield and the confidence they give you that your components are going to fit in your vehicle is priceless. Haven't tried Sonic

There is a definite shortage of the latest DVD/GPS units being installed here. They're not cheap but with rear camera view built-in and all the features new vehicles get, I'm not stopping halfway. I'm researching for one now and will do an install report when I get it figured out...

About a week ago I installed a Kenwood DNX691HD. It's a great head unit but the only thing I don't like is that when it not on the radio source it doesn't lower the antenna like Alpine head units do. Time for me to do the power antenna switch.

Is this guy Android compatible??? I'm trying to look for a decent set-up, but I always find out that the units are Apple compatible..

I know that all the bluetooth stuff will work with an android and same with the pandora app on it.
I mentioned in another post on this board how I owned a brand new 15' Tacoma and had to sound deaden the entire truck with the factory premium audio. My 99' 4runner has a pretty decent sized system, even on the song's with heavy bass, it gives a solid back massage from the cargo area to the drivers seat.
I've gotten out and listened, not much sound makes it out of the cab. Nothing is vibrating or rattling. I opted to do almost zero sound deadening on mine thus far. Very happy with the quality of the interior parts fitment/sound capabilities from the speaker locations.
I am running;
Kenwood touch screen
New model Type-R components up front
Type R 5 1/4 rears - lot's of cutting to factory brackets but they fit
Type R 10" 2 ohm sub
125 rms to all door speakers
900 rms to the sub
Bought everything being a cheap ass, brand new, have $725 into the system. Installed it myself, that is counting deck, dash kit, amps, all speakers, subs, nice box, 9-wire harness and the whisky. Ok, I already had the whisky. :roll:

Crutchfield is great for customer service indeed. They have solid reference charts, customer base for reviews, their prices though....
I have paid under 50% for the same item's, new, as their site lists. Certain item's like cheap decks/speakers, are worth buying there because they provide adapter harnesses, dash kits, and such for free. I'm totally for supporting good customer oriented businesses, I just don't have the cash to put forth zero energy before purchasing it all from them.
Most big businesses such as Summitracing have price matching capabilities if it's from a legitimate source. Seems to me, they could do something like that as well. I've been a loyal customer for 10 years now due to those policy's. :noidea:
This is why I shop at sonics good customer service and good prices compared to crutchfield. I also had them priced match a noncertified site for my pioneer 80prs. It also came with installation accessories.
Word. Car stereo prices are a crap shoot.
It's amazing to me, the handful of time's I've ever gone into Cartoys for a 9-wire last minute.. There is ALWAYS someone in there, totally clueless preparing to drop like 2k+ for a halfass system. $160 for "advanced rear speaker installs" that I can do in under an hour with no certifications?
In this day and age you can't be stupid or you'll be broke before you know it lol.
Lol I used to install car audio but we nevert ried to ripped anyone off with bs, some cars are a pain in the ass though.
Has anyone installed an Android double din yet? One manufacturer pretty popular on Amazon is the Pumpkin, I just did one in an F150 its pretty sweet.
