Leveling Question

How many miles are on your runner? May want to consider some Bilstein 5100 series shocks. They will let you level out the rig, or lift up to 2.5"

My runner has 114000 miles one it. I really just wanna level not lift. I'm not sure I could afford the spacers and all that come with lifting. I'm a broke college student lol

Spacers are pretty much the cheapest option for leveling out the 4runner - which usually means lifting the front 2", or the front 2.5"& rear 1". I've no experience with Fat Bob's Garage so I couldn't say whether or not they are quality products, but if you never plan on going off road I doubt it matters much.

I'd suggest reading that link to the sticky though, all of this information has been discussed and explained in detail before.

RE: Leveling

I went with Daystar kit and Spidertrax kit from Wheeler's Offroad knowing that my suspension is still doing just fine. I'm happy with it and eventually I'll upgrade.

If you are running the stock shocks still, then the 5100s are definitely the way to go. You can get a level stance, and will be replacing your old shocks at the same time.

I read the sticky and now have a little more of what this consists of. With the 5100s, would I just be changing the front? And off roading isn't really what I plan on doing I don't have a 4x4. I won't be going on trails or anything. I mean I need it to be able to handle a little big of grass and maybe some mud but won't be taking it through either for recreation, just to get to some local fishing holes and I'm going to drive slow through it all and not go through anything to rough.

What would level the truck out meaning like wheel gaps equal? I believe im going to go daystar. And how hard is the install? Or would you guys just recomment the 2.5 all around lift? I wasnt gunna go with that bc i know that with that id want bigger tires and i drive to much for gas mileage to be going to far down.
