Lift? 5100 + 1.5" + FJ

I've got parts coming in.
FJs around the truck, thinking 5100s at top notch and 1.5 daystar in the back.

Is this too much lift? What tires can I get on this without major reconstruction?

Thanks

But by stating what you did, you are really not giving others a chance. I've been reading the sticky posts for a couple weeks, I've gone through the charts for both the lifts and the wheels. There is so much content it is extremely difficult to assemble a clear answer for a specific setup. I posted a question under the sticky and got no response for over a week.

Sorry, I thought the point of a forum was to help each other is it not?

From what I have been reading this should work fine....some are even saying around 4 inches that should settle a bit. Im running the day star lift and am going to be going this way as well.

lonkelm By going to a 255/75/17 from my current 275/60/17's I should gain about 2" in tire size to help fill in the gaps I currently have and give me a taller look. I know I will need to remove my front mud flaps and possibly adjust the inner wheel well liners. Here is a good web size to for tire size comparisons: https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc

This might help you. I'm running the Daystar 2.5" spacer lift on the front and Fat Bob's 2" spacers in the back along with the 2013 Trail team FJ springs and shocks. I haven't had any issues with alignment and I'm running the stock control arms. In addition, I have a 1/2" body lift. After this picture was taken I realized I had put my front springs on the wrong sides so now the driver's side is 1/2" higher than it is in this picture.

Cool, thanks.

I need new tires so I'll be looking to figure that out. I won't do too much offroading so probably Revo 2 or something like that.

I do plan on the 1.25" wheel spacers for looks.

Why the change in tire size? I was looking at a tire chart and your proposed tires are very close to what you have now.

i will say that the 255/75/17 or 255/70/18 is a great size tire to go with. its not a lot of added weight for being a good size taller.i dont know if you need to remove the flaps but i did for looks but you will need to move the fender liners after install. i touched most of my ride home after getting tires. i do like how they fit the fenders now and they looked great even when i was on my old xreas.

hard to tell in the photo but the tires do touch the fender liner if you dont move them

and if you install spidertrax things get a bit more fun
