285/75r16 (34s) Cooper STT Pro

Wouldn’t do anything different, had to remove mud flaps and do some plastic trimming. But, no rubbing anymore!

I know this is old, but how do those bilsteins ride?

Sweet! That was my original plan, I have some 16” wheels from another 4th gen sitting in the garage and planned for this size tire as they’re slightly cheaper than 255/80/17. The load range as well is a plus.

Has anyone tried the Sequoia TRD PRO on their 4th gen? I have a 2 inch lift on mine and Ive seen a lot of people put 4runner Nightshade wheels on theirs and they are also 20 inch. Thank yoi for the replies.

For one, my rig is my daily driver; the Rubitrek is capable enough for off road yet well suited for pavement. Also, I work the technicians parts counter
at a Toyota dealer, 24 years and counting...the boss doesn't make us pay any mark-up for tires, so the price of the Rubitrek was "an offer I couldn't refuse."

What Size Tires Should I get

Hello, I have a 2006 Limited V6 4x4 and I am looking to eventually get some all-terrain tires and some Bilstein 5100 shocks and struts. I was wondering how big I could go with the tires and what lift I would need to fit bigger tires. Not looking to go super big, currently have 265/60/18, not changing wheel size yet.

Is it common to have the speedo and transmission recalibrated after installing larger tires? From my understanding, not doing so will result in an inaccurate odometer along with the normal misreading from the speedo (not a huge deal but kind of annoying).

Anyone who has done it was is the process like?

When I went to 315's, I installed a generic SpeedoHealer V4.0. It splices into the wires on the back of your speedo gauge and you can set it based on percentage (faster or slower) to get it dialed in. This works, because the ABS sensor send electrical signal pulses from the wheels to the speedometer.

Post install, I noticed my MPG was accurate again, ODO became accurate, and Distance Until Empty was also accurate. I am sure there is an install writeup on here somewhere!

Update: Adjusted the top collar on the Fox 2.5" coilovers to level out at 3" all around. Tires are Goodyear MT-R 315/70r17 on RockTrix RT110 -12mm offset.

338mm came on the sports only, don't know about the urbanrunner

I LOVE the blue/gold.

For Urban Runner models, the V8 commonly came with the 338mm and on V6 came with the 318mm HOWEVER, there is no definite because they could come with both (i know right?) :bored:

2008 4Runner Sport. Just bumped over 365k km and still runs like a top. Picked up Falcon T2 wheels and am running Falken Wildpeak AT4W (265/70r17) for my summer set up. Super, super happy with the set up.
