Thought I would post it here too. Took my rack off today. I wasn't sure but I really like the look...makes the truck look a lot "cleaner". Looks wider too for some reason.

Ha, yes. It does look bald and that's exactly why. I'm sure most will hate it but like I said, I kind of like it...for now. However, I probably only like it b/c its something "different", and i'll soon tire of it and throw my rack back on once its cleaned up. :banana:

See above for my "problem" with constantly changing things. Its been on and off at least 5 or 6 times. Ha. I take it off then get tired of seeing my under carriage hanging out then put it on, or my fiance complains about the truck being too high...on it goes again and the cycle continues. I think a set of close fitting sliders would fix the problem but I don't want to spend the money right now.

got my daystar lift in, tires are here waiting for wheels and then placing everything on, but here is a tire in comparison with stock ones

Thanks Mike! I really like yours too...you're ahead of me by far. I'm not sure if the "crap" tire comment is your opinion on the stts or if you were just saying that b/c I have that in my signature...if so, the crap tires i'm actually referring to is the 265/70 highway tires I had on it before these.
As for the treadwear, I've only had them on a few gas tanks so I can't speak to that. I have heard of a few having similar odd wear but it sounds like its not really a big deal and doesn't affect the performance. However, I did notice much better MPG than I expected. I was able to squeeze out nearly 18mpg on mixed driving...impressive for a tire like this IMO. The noise level is also great as well. The 55k wear seems very promising and is in line with other reports i've read online. How was the noise level at that low tread vs when they were newer (say 20-30k miles)?

I really want a nice steel bumper, I kind of like the demello but waiting to see what the new cbi looks like. ALso looking at sliders, but I need to slow down the $$$$ the wife is already wanting all the same **** done to her wrangler ( never going to happen i hate that thing) she wont notice new sliders for a while but no hiding the bumper.

I'd like to get a skid plate down there, looks a bit tacky ... i've always liked the plates that came stock on the tacomas, has anyone ever experimented the fitment of those on our 4R's???

I had a Tacoma skid on my 4R. You need the skid plate and the brackets. There are 2 brackets the Taco requires behind it.

He has a rola vortex. They're cheap (not in a bad way) and there are a lot of guys running them. I used to have one on my truck until I got my bajarack.

Gotcha. Looks good. I’m so torn on what rack to get. i want a full length. Really leaning toward Gobi but always look at options. Spending 1300 on rack kinda sucks but it just looks so right on the runner.
